Day 1: Panorama Cruise
At 7:00 we’ll pick you up in Ho Chi Minh City and take you to Can Tho. Board the Mekong Eyes at 12.30 at our private pier. We will show you our on-board facilities and your cosy cabin. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink. As lunch is served, the boat starts cruising downstream on the Hau river. Sit back and watch the daily life of the Mekong people.
The boat heads to Tra On floating market, then up the Nikolai canal to Cai Nhum, a little town on the banks of the river Mang Thit. Disembark for a leisurely stroll through the village and the surrounding fruit orchards or rice fields. Meet the friendly locals.
Get back on board and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on the deck as the sun sets over the magnificent water landscape. The boat will anchor for the night, about 2 hours away from Cai Be. The day ends with a delicious on-board dinner.
Day 2: Life on the water in Cai Be floating market
Wake up to the sound of the River and get ready for another exciting day of sightseeing. At 06.30 we set off for a sunrise cruise through Cho Lach canal, teeming with sand and rice barges. Watch the locals go about their daily work drying exotic fruits and building ships on the wooden yards.
After breakfast, we will have a sampan boat tour of Cai Be floating market, one of the region’s busiest markets. Marvel at the sheer abundance of exotic fruits, vegetables and skilfully handicrafted regional products. We will pull up to the boats for talking and bargaining with the merchants. We will also visit some of the local candy and cake making factories.
The boat trip ends at around 11.00 - 11.30 on the pier in Cai Be. We’ll take you back to Ho Chi Minh City.

There are 15 lavishly furnished twin and double rooms, each with a private bathroom with shower and hot water, wardrobe, air-conditioning and fan. The rooms are well insulated against climate and sound, and all offer a fantastic panoramic view of the Mekong river.

On the top deck you will find an open sitting area and sun deck with breathtaking views. While you are basking on the sun deck our friendly staff will pamper you with cool drinks and freshly cooked delicacies.
Our crew will do their utmost to provide you with all the services and comfort you need during your Mekong Delta cruise. The captain and his deck hand as well as the engineer are in charge of the technical details and the routing. An experienced chef and sevice staff will take you on a culinary journey through Vietnam. A local guide will explain the life and culture of the Mekong Delta to you and answer any questions you might have. Our staff also get regular safety trainings.

Bicycle tours: This is a great way to discover the fascinating Mekong Delta life off the beaten track. You can stop on the way to explore the small paths along the canals or the river islands. Our sampan will pick you up at the end of the tour to bring you back to the Mekong Eyes. This is a perfect combination: a relaxing river cruise as well as active exploring of the Mekong Delta by bike.
Sampan rides: During your Mekong Delta river cruise, you can do side trips with our sampan to explore the small Mekong side canals - a unique perspective on life on the water and the scenery.
Cooking classes on board the cruise vessel: To learn the secrets of real Vietnamese cuisine, we give you the possibility to take cooking classes from our chef. You will also have the option to buy the fresh ingredients for your own meal direclty at the local floating markets.
Tai Chi, Yoga and Massage services: Those services are available upon request - please enquire before your Mekong tour to ensure that they are available.
